Why does digital signature showing question mark?
This occurs when digital certificate and digital signature associated certificates with the PDF file have not yet been verified on the system.
Digital signatures created from a self-signed certificate, you need to verify signature in your system using
Adobe Acrobat.
How to validate digital signature using Adobe Acrobat ?
1. To validate the digital signature in your documents (Eg: Aadhaar), you need to install Adobe Acrobat / PDF reader in your computer.
If you haven't installed it yet, then first download and install Adobe Acrobat - CLICK HERE
2. After installation finish, Open your digital signed certificate in the Adobe Acrobat / PDF reader.
It will show you a question mark and showing signature not verified !
3. Click on this "Question mark" , a pop up will appear , Click on "Signature Properties"
4. Now click on "Show signer's certificate" then an another pop up will appear,
5. Now click on "Trust" and then click on "Add to trusted certificates"
6. Now click all the check boxes (See the below pic)
7. Now click "OK" and then again click on the "Signature" ! your certificate's signature will be verified !
Still unable to verify signature ?
If you are still unable to validate signature then first you need to synchronize time of your computer with internet - Click here to know how to synchronize time.
After that follow the above method to verify signature !
